The Same

I wanna see how simple life could be
Without all the pain, the fear, and misery.
There's more than one side to everything,
Deep inside we're all the same.
We tend to fear the things we don't understand.
We hate and we hurt without taking a chance.
The world plays these games, it's such a shame.
We won't gain anything.
Finding someone... someone to blame,
Just because we are afraid,
Afraid to make a change.
We are all the same.

Who Needs Reality
03:34

Close your eyes, you're drifting away from the day.
What's the point in stressing, anyway?
Fall asleep - you're falling down, yet you never hit the ground,
And now you're safe and sound.
When you're tired of battling life,
Just lay down and then rest your eyes.
A whole world lives inside of your head,
But it's gone once you get up out of your bed.
Who needs reality. . . ?
When you've got your dreams
You'll dream of city lights,
Butterflies the size of kites,
Spaceship rides through starry skies,
Moonlit waves, kingdoms in decay,
Mermaids. . .
When you wake, you'll wish to stay,
Real life's just not the same.

Sometimes I think of when I'll meet you,
Something like this:
Meet me at the flower shop,
That could be our first stop.
Then I'll hear you call my name
And I won't know what to say.
We'll joke about my dream last night
And walk across the countryside.
Then the mood will be just right,
But...I
I... I'm hopeless
To think that this would really happen.
Oh if I could live a different life...
Meet me at the flower shop,
I don't want it to ever stop.
You're waiting in the doorway,
You'll say that it's a sunny day.
I'll let you use my sun hat,
You'll tell me not to laugh at it.
Then you'll reach to hold my hand...
No, you're not real.
You're just a dream,
This is not a movie.
There is just no way
Someone like you
Would be with me.

Dead Trees

You always see her deep in thought.
She never knows when to stop herself.
There’s more to her than meets the eye,
If you knew then you would cry.
Follow her through the dead trees.
She’ll open up and you will see
A lonely heart whose suffering's
Undiscovered and unseen.
You’re the only one
Who can wipe the tears from her eyes,
Show her a bright blue sky.
You’re the only one
Who can hold her close and tight,
Bring those dead trees to life.
No one else will ever see
How beautiful those trees can really be.
Watch her bloom for you, and only you.
That's all she ever wanted.

I feel so old.
Is that why I'm feeling so alone?
Sitting on this bedroom floor
And wondering why I'm so bored.
I'm so bored.
When I was just a girl,
I imagined that being 20 would be exciting,
But look at me.
What am I doing?
I'm just lazy,
Haven't been to a party,
Can't talk to nobody.
If this is the high point in my life,
Then what will it be like in 20 years from now?
What will I have to look forward to?
This is my youth,
So why am I sitting on this bedroom floor
feeling blue...?
